Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

It's just a bit frustrating.

If you are lucky enough to balance and/or keep something closed it would be a miracle if the domino (aka light plastic piece of junk) was able to actually trigger it.

The product is not very well made.

My kids have found a love for dominoes. Skull Island is the first domino set we've tried and after the initial set up, this was a lot of fun! The 200 dominoes are light, there are 4 trigger obstacles: A skull where once a domino falls into the open mouth, it snaps shut and sends another domino zip lining down a short string to hit the next round of waiting dominoes, a falling palm tree that can trigger up to 6 trains of dominoes, a ball tower that sends a ball zig zagging down a maze to a waiting domino at the bottom, and a coffin that triggers a skeleton popping out. There is also a roller coaster bridge with preset dominoes. It doesn't come with a domino setter like the Ultimate Adventure, but this one is just as fun!

I love this toy. I got it for my tenth birthday. This is best for a kid that likes physics, doesn't give up and likes details. If your domino track fails, you try, try again to get it to work. It is fun to figure out, but takes some patience as it will not work every time. The door on the coffin is a little fragile, but works okay. The skull zip line surprised me, keep the string taut, I like it.

This product was much more cheaply made than anticipated for the price. In the future, I recommend that parents buy regular old-fashioned dominoes and set them up to show the Rube Goldberg effect. The plastic parts did not stand up as advertised, and the parts that were supposed to effect the next station of action were not even heavy enough to knock over the cheap plastic pieces they were "designed" to move.

This is so lame. It is cheaply made. They aren't even like real dominoes. They are too light. The setup doesnt work and there are no directions. Its not really a game. That would have been ok with me, I didn't need a game. But the point of it was to set up the dominoes and watch them do something cool. You can't possibly make the whole thing work with these cheap dominoes and cheap pieces. We pulled it out only once and nobody has wanted to play it again and its been over 2 years.

I bought this for my 6 year old and he likes it but has a hard time setting this up on his own. Also, the "contraptions" are flimsy and do not work well at set up. The treasure chest takes several tries to keep it closed, the sharks mouth always closes down without even touching it and the fin always falls too. It's just a bit frustrating. I would only recommend for older kids or if you REALLY like spending a lot of time setting up dominoes with faulty contraptions.

It was a great price and the kids had a lot of fun with it. My only complaint is the dominoes were very small and hollow on both sides.
