This product is a light brown sugar which has been processed so that it doesn't clump. I love using brown sugar, but it is a pain to keep it from clumping. You can use it successfully for baking, although I prefer a darker brown for that, but this sugar is the best thing for oatmeal. It pours nicely, however old it is, and because it is tiny beads, you don't get those stray little shreds of brown sugar which are so annoying when spooning regular brown sugar out of its container.

Our local stores have all of a sudden stopped carrying brownulated, so I am very happy to have found it through Amazon, albeit from a third-party shipper.

After a long, tedious search, I was really glad to find Brownulated sugar again. It is so much easier to use. Never clumps. Tastes light 'regular' light brown sugar in recipes and sprinkles over nuked sweet potatoes really easily!

I make a special strawberry dessert: Fresh strawberries, dipped in sour cream, and then in this granulated brown sugar. Everyone loves them, and this sugar is hard to find. So I get a box of these bags and they store easily.

It's great to be able to purchase the brownulated light brown sugar - it doesn't get too hard to use, pours freely, and tastes just great im my cookie recipes.

I prefer the granulated for my baking: fruit cakes, spice maple walnut cakes, candied yams - easy to measure .

Do you hate having to pack brown sugar into a measuring cup (it's pretty subjective too, how much does one person pack into a measuring cup vs another person). With brownulated brown sugar, that isn't necessary. Just measure and go! Sprinkle on your oatmeal with nothing sticking to your fingers . . . I love it!

Just to add my thanks to everyone else's that this distributor carries the brownulated brown sugar. I was upset when our local grocery stores stopped carrying it. The tiny sugar pellets are, as mentioned by others, very easy to pour and measure. It's a light brown sugar, not the dark sugar. If a clump does form, it's very easy to break apart back into the pellets. I ran out of brownulated sugar last Christmas in the middle of my baking. I decided that instead of mixing sugars I would make a batch of chocolate chip cookies using the last of my brownulated sugar and a batch with regular sugar, to see if brownulated sugar made a real difference. While not a scientific comparison, I can report that my kids liked the batch with brownulated sugar better. They said that the cookies were a little chewier, and they didn't get stale or hard as fast. I'll stick with brownulated brown sugar for baking as long as it's available.
