After buying a new Digital SLR I quickly obtained many accessories for it. I am a small woman (5'2; 110 pounds) with back problems, and cannot carry a backpack or shoulder sling bag. After searching for solutions I found this vest, but hesitated because of the price. Oh, and feeling nerdy with it on. After considering fishing vests, photo belts, or making a vest I purchased this one and it quickly arrived. I filled the pockets--even adding a small camera lens--and slipped it on. It fit great, distributed the weight evenly, and offered a side benefit I had not anticipated: When I have a long telephoto lens on my camera I often bump it against things. The way this vest is made I can slip the lens inside it enough to keep the lens from dangling. Extra nerdy? Who cares--this vest is my perfect solution! I was a little concerned with it being hot in the summer but it does have a lot of mesh to let the air in. I've worn it on a school field trip and a few short hikes and love it. However, I do find it difficult to remember where items are--this vest has a ton of inside and outside pockets!
