I bought these lights for my son's Christmas gift. While they were adorable in all their domo-licious splendor, the string of lights quit working within three weeks. My son was heartbroken, but all was not lost. I was able to easily remove the plastic bodies from the lights (you can pull them right off the socket thing) and attach them to a standard string of Christmas lights, spacing them at intervals with the white lights in between. They actually look better than the originals! The lights go all way across one wall, with the little Domo bodies hanging happily amidst the white lights.

I ordered three of these sets. One didn't light up despite my checking bulbs and changing fuses. I was able to send it back free of charge and another set was mailed to me immediately-even before receipt of the malfunctioning one I returned. The lights glow somewhat brightly. My plan was to use them as nightlights in children's bedrooms. One kid loves them, the other felt they were too bright. The lights are absolutely adorable. I wish there had been one brown one to reflect Domo's original color. The photo shows one that looks quite brown, however all four sets that I received had the colors shown plus bright orange instead of what looks like brown. Each Domo light is 3 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" wide(I measured them).
*Update 9/21/11* These lights are being used as nightlights in kids' rooms. They are plugged in nightly and remain on all night long. It's been 6 months now and they are still functioning perfectly, no blown bulbs. The child who originally thought they were too bright quickly changed his mind and continued to use them. My other child uses two strings of the lights. They are pretty bright and still so stinking cute!

I actually received these as a Christmas gift and since my friend loves Domo as much as I do...I had to get them a set of these lights. The lights are a great size "approx. 3"w x4"h" and have a nice colorful glow. A great addition to any dorm room or party/lounge area you have setup.
I want to put a small note on here for anyone buying these, on my box I received..as well as the one I ordered; they both had the following warning label. "WARNING: Handling the cord on this product exposes you to lead, a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.". While this in my mind doesn't deserve docking a star, I felt that anyone with smaller children or others that had such concerns would appreciate this information.

I live in an attic/loft type room with an ugly square LED light in my ceiling, so when I saw these I had to have them to use in place of my other light.
I love the fact that I can remove the domo's and put them onto a different strand of lights so I don't have to stick with what was given to.
((Btw for those of you who are having trouble with your lights/if they're not working/when one of the bulbs dies out it makes it so the whole line doesn't work. If you find the dud, replace it, the whole line of lights should work. I had this problem and just used my other white light Christmas lights because I had more line to use.))
Wish there was a little more variety in the colors and more line to work with but it definitely makes my room look awesome now!

I originally saw these on FredFlare.com for $20 plus around $8 shipping and handling, so I decided to shop around online because I really adored their cuteness and wanted to enhance some regular multi colored Christmas lights I already had hanging in my bedroom. On Amazon the price was definitely right! I'm glad I got these at a bargain. All of the Domo monsters worked right out of the box; you can also rotate the little men around their respective light bulbs to face them at any angle you want. The only negative is that the cord does have lead in/on it. There is a warning on the box and on the cord itself. Keep that in mind if you are considering purchasing this for a child's room.

My friend loves Domo and when we went to disney, they cost about $30 at Epcot! She really wanted them and so I looked into getting them on Amazon as I do with a lot of things to compare prices. It was so worth it! Not only was it less than half the price at Epcot, but they are really cute in person! It was packaged nicely and all worked. She'll most likely use these as more of a decoration than as a light fixture however. She was happy, so I'm happy!

faulty lights
I used my lights once. Plugged them in a second time and they were broken. Didn't turn on in any socket. I tried at least 3 this is ridiculous. Read more
