ok so maybe i'm a little over the top in my hyperbole, but this book is worth every penny and that's no hype !!!.forget the fancy stain removal items advertised on t.v. and the best part is they work!!. i have removed stains like mustard, tomato sauce, and blood - some of the ...stains in the world. i give this book as baby gift, wedding gift housewarming gift etc. although we can do nothing about death and taxes, we can certainly do something about stains. this book is a must buy !!!

My favorite part of the book is the section that explains how to build a kit of chemicals and tools useful in the removal of stains. The book explains which tools and chemicals to use on what stains. I thought this book was useful until I became a father; now I know this book is a necessity.

Not only does Don Aslett give you what the stain is chemically made up of, he highlights the best techniques for fresh and old stain removal.I've showed so many people this book over the year's...and still receive a call or two a month asking me "what do I do with this stain?". Now I can refer them to Amazon to buy their own copy. Great Stuff!

If you spill the Stain Buster's Bible is for you!,
In Aslett's usual no-nonsense get to the point style, he provides the best of his fifty plus years of cleaning experience, as well as other expert's in the field's experience, to give you the best stain removal strategies available. The first part of the book focuses on stainbuster basics such as what not to do and why these things turn tiny spots into big stains, the basic stain-removal strategy for washables, old standbys from club soda to toothpaste to meat tenderizer, the tools of the trade, the tricks of the trade, an overview of standbusting strategy in general and of the overall landscape of stains, and stain safety. (Keep yourself safe while dealing with hazardous substances) Part two of this book tackles the most common spots and stains and how to remove them. Over almost 100 pages, Aslett covers stains from acids to wood stains, with just about everything in between. He covers things such as ink, jelly, milk, mustard, paints, soft drinks, and many, many more. This part also covers the ABCs of home odor control. If something smells, there is a good chance Aslett has a solution for you in this book. Part three is called "More Stainbusting Savvy" and it contains tips on figuring out the surface the stain is on so you can best treat it, working with your dry cleaner to get the best results, knowing when to quit, and finally a chapter on preventing stains in the first place, because as Aslett points out, "preventing them is a lot easier than removing them." I highly recommend this book as an addition to Aslett's other cleaning books if you want the best advice available for dealing with spills. Stains are a part of life, but Aslett has the solution to deal with them.
