If you enjoy comedy roasts then this one is a must have. There is no let up from the list of great comedians who let it all out in this absolutely hilarious roast. This roast brings together Johnny Carson, Ed Sullivan, Jackie Leonard, Jackie Vernon, Norm Crosby, Flip Wilson, just to mention a few of the notables. This roast is not for the squemish! I thoroughly recommend it!

This is an old school roast. It's just as dirty as the ones that air nowadays on Comedy Central, but rather than being uncomfortably hateful, there is a refreshing warm heartedness that lies beneath all of the over-the-top put downs and four letter words.

The highlight of the evening is Johnny Carson's seven minute scorching of Mr. Rickles. Simply hysterical!

As a big Don Rickles fan though, it is important to note that his speaking portion of the roast is unfortunately cut short before its completion. We hear 5 minutes and 54 seconds of his hilarious payback before the recording stops abruptly (the technology at the time was not as capable as it is today).

Nevertheless, this CD is certainly a worthy of purchase for fans of comedy and comedy legends! When you listen to it, you feel as though you are there at the roast in person. And the 5 minutes and 54 seconds of Don, though cut short, is still blissfully riotous.

I have not purchaced this product though years 20 years ago I heard a bootleg recording of this roast. What a blast. The banter between these comedians really is fun. Flip Wilson and Johnny Carson are really are in top form. These guys are not definatly PC. I wish the had a video of the gags though, many of the joke must have been sight gags.

This roast is exactly like the product description, xxx and raunchy. If you don't mind that, you will love hearing these great comics letting loose.
