3.0 out of 5 stars An average game, October 29, 2000
This review is from: Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers (Game Cartridge)
If you've seen or played this game on other platforms, this one is not identical. This version has different characters and plot. The game has translated well for the Gameboy color with its clear and colorful screens.

The story, famous reporter, Daisy, has succeeded in entering the secret temple of Merlock, the terrible magician and the obvious bad guy in the game. While reporting on live TV, she was about to show the evil Merlock's castle when the TV screen became scrambled. No one knows what happened to her. Who else, but our hero, the typical moody Donald Duck is off to rescue her. To do this, Donald has to survive all the challenges in four different locations. Also, there is one blueprint for each level and Donald has to find them so that Gyro Gearloose can build the machine to put Merlock away forever.

This is a typical platform game with a lot of jumping from platform to platform, crawling, avoiding creepy crawlies, and chasing bonus items such as extra lives. We all know Donald as one of the moodier Disney characters and the game has special candy to change Donald's mood from happy to hyper to angry and finally, to berserk. Other than this, there is nothing new to gamers who enjoy Mario and Pikachu.

Hardcore gamers will be bored with the game. But, it's a decent game that is more entertaining for younger kids and Donald Duck fans.

5.0 out of 5 stars great game !, January 18, 2002

This is a great game because it gives you good sound and enemys. I beat this game in 5 days, but that was playing non-stop and I`m a pretty good gamer. My only hangup was the fourth level of the ghost place where you have to keep in sight of this ghost guy who never stops. A good story line and the last level is awesome. It's a cheap game money wise, but it has a great value and it's worth playing again.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's great!!!, July 10, 2004
This review is from: Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers (Game Cartridge)
It's a really fun game and I have played the entire thing over many times the only thing i would say is make sure you get the blueprints if you don't the game will get 10x harder because you have to go back and get them later. Also make sure you have a piece of paper and a pen ready at all times you will need it to write down the passwords.
