A Wonderful Gift- Donald Verger's 2012 "Storms" Calendar showcases his ongoing intrigue with weather patterns, vortexes clouds, tornados, and Storm Chasing. This calendar features the photographer's affinity for intense stormscapes, like the fascinating contrast of the emerging supercell on the cover. From a crash of lightning to a striking Midwestern sky moments before a thunderstorm, each month unfolds impetuously into the next. For this special edition Donald Verger Photography 2012 Storms Calendar, Donald captured storms from all over the country-from South Dakota to Texas. Donald Verger is a critically-acclaimed, award-winning photographer and Founder and President Emeritus of the world-renowned Children's Discovery Museum and Science Discovery Museum in New England. His stunning landscape photography, reminiscent of the legendary work of Ansel Adams, is notable for its quiet, ethereal beauty and subtle nuances of light. His two inaugural calendar series feature New England landscapes and the famous Nubble Lighthouse from Maine. Verger's "Storms" is available as a beautiful 12"x12" saddle-stitched wall calendar. I have preordered this calendar after seeing the images that are included and knowing what an accomplished artist and beautiful soul Donald Verger is. I have another one of his calendars and every image in it is worthy of a frame. He captures the turbulence and fiery of the storm without compromising the beauty that is held within. I would highly recommend this item to anyone interested in storms, photography, or art in general. Definitely a beautiful collection that will start your 2012 in the right direction!

Now that we're well into 2012, this STORMS 2012 Fine Art wall calendar by acclaimed photographer Donald Verger is available at a tremendous discount. The photographs were all taken in the central states of the USA, and all stick to a common theme, storms, portraying the various aspects of turbulent weather such as formation, tornado, lightning and supercell from a common ultra-long-shot perspective. While they photographs do not offer the variety of foggy cityscapes or snowy mountaintops, say, they are of consummate artistic quality, and the 12" x 12" format pages are good and stiff, much more so than the average commercial wall calendar. I was unable to determine country of production.

Although January 2012 is gone, I do count it in this product's favor that the months extend through January 2013. Unfortunately, my calendar suffered a medium-size bash on the way to me, enough that I would not have considered it as a gift. I don't know why Amazon doesn't routinely put these things on a slab and shrink-wrap them for the journey, as that seems the only way to eliminate such damage enroute.

To capture shots such as this I'm sure there are many times when the storm takes a different turn and it's all a waste of time. You just have to appreciate talent and bravery like this!! Great Work @Donaldverger..

Scary, thrilling, and giving me goosebumps, while looking at the eye of the storm in my pajamas warm in my living room. luckily I'm looking at this years storm calender by Donald Verger instead of the real thing! And still looking at these photo's made me feel as if I were right there, face to face. Adventure meets the artist, and the artist wins. I was blown away, and to my surprise Donald does Not use Photoshop! Can you believe that? Complete purist, he is simply showing us what he saw when he was chasing each storm, to think that he risked his life for this calender essentially and it is the least expensive calender!

This calender is a must have for all nature lovers, storm chasers and anyone who loves a great photograph! Donald Verger is an amazing photographer who manages to capture the beauty and power of storms in a single shot. I will be buying this calender as an xmas gift for many of my friends ( it's great for the men in your life who are hard to buy for!) and I will be getting one for myself so I can look at the work of one of the greatest photographers of our time every day on my kitchen wall. Oh and thanking the lord we don't get weather like that in the UK!

This calendar is a fantastic group of shots, culled from what must have been an incredible run of storm chasing! Just stunning. Mr. Verger's eye is tremendous, but his timing, or perhaps patience, must outstrip even his ability to frame a shot. My guess is, if Ansel Adams or Edward Weston were shooting today, in color, they'd be right in line with the kinds of photographs that Don Verger is making here. Hope you enjoy!

I've purchased so many calendars over the years that are such poor quality. When you write something on a day it transfers over to the next month, that always made me crazy. This calendar is such great quality, the pictures are beautiful and the price couldn't have been any better!
