Donkey Kong the ape has stolen Mario's girlfriend and has taken her to the top of a steel fortress. Mario must get to the top to save her! Use the joystick control to maneuver Mario across the girders and up the ladders. But - as he runs, the ape throws barrels at him to prevent his progress. Use the fire button to get Mario to jump over the barrels. Will Mario make it to the top and rescue his gal in time? Plays, sounds and scores just like the arcade game. This is the first donkey kong game made. It is similar to the nes series but it has more levels and the graphics r not as good. I actually like this one better than the nes version because of the this one has more levels. The controls r horrible with the joystick because u fall off of the latters very eaisily and u have to move it very hard for u to move. In this game u r a jumpman that is later named mario and he is tring to save his girlfriend from DK. This is one of my most played atari games ever.
