This game adds new innovation to the GBA. Nintendo has pulled off a winner by creating a game revolving around a simple but new concept, using only the L and R buttons. It presents a new challenge to veteran gamers in that you can only do things by swinging from peg to peg on the screen. It also offers a unique game expirience for new comers to the game world. I am sad to see that one mother has ruined the good rating that this game should have only because her son wasn't up to something like this and how can it use "too many buttons". Is using two buttons too hard for your youngster. Maybe he should stick to one button games.

What can I say Except Donkey Kong is in my family's blood.All 3 of my girls love it.My husband and I compete w/ it,We have every DK Game except for the Nintendo 64 and game cube 1 Oh yeah and the Wii,but we will.
The reason I like this one is cuz you only use the top 2 shoulder buttons ,I mean how easy is that?Also it's great training for when you graduate to DK Jungle Climber for the DS.
That being said I am so stuck on the 50% level of the DS game.Does anyone have any tips?It's the Boss that pounds her fists down.PLEAZZZZZE Help!!!!
My 10 year old daughter and I played donkey kong tonight for 4 hours,Now talk about some Mom and daughter bonding.We played Donkey Kong Country 1 and 3,and had a blast.

this was a surprisingly great game. if you've played clu clu land at all you'll have an idea of how novel the control scheme is, but the game does a great job of adding surprises within every single level. there are 25 levels (20 regular + 5 bosses) in all, with medals and "crystal coconuts" to find adding to the replayability. one of the best platformers i've played, period, but be aware you'll have to take the time to master the game's unique mechanics before you fully enjoy it.
