I admit that the bongos seem like a silly gimmick when you first look at them. But when you start playing with them, these are REALLY good rhythm and drum trainers!

The game comes with a good selection of songs to play along with - from Allstar to La Bamba, from the Nutcracker Suite to Shiny Happy People. There should be songs in here to suit all musical tastes. There are a bunch of different ways to play the songs. There are freestyles where you just drum and clap along any way you wish. There are a series of built in rhythms where you have to match up as well as you can with the song. There are two player modes where one person drums and the other person claps. There are a number of challenge modes where people play head to head or try to get better scores on the same song.

There are even rhythm trainers where you learn about different rhythms and learn how to hold them over a number of bars. It really is quite amazing how much the game teaches you about syncopation and unusual rhythms. If you feel you're rhythmically challenged, this game can get you to learn how rhythms work. If you think you're a pretty good drummer, give a try on some of the more challenging songs and see if you can keep up!

The game is great for solo play and even more fun in party situations, especially because the songs are so much fun. As you earn coins, you can use them to buy more difficult song versions, new sounds for your bongos and even new bongo visuals. You get a lot of incentive to keep getting better and better.

Where many games teach you skills that might seem meaningless (arcane combinations of button mashing), this game is actually teaching you a real life skill that is great. You could become a better real life drummer, or at least be able to hold your own better at any dances you might go to.

What's even better, this game is great for all ages. Young kids can have fun randomly hammering - while adults can do serious work in perfecting their skills.

I recomend this game to any parent who is buying a gamecube for their kids this holiday season. The game comes with a set of bongos. On the bongos there is of coarse a right and left bongo and suprisingly also a clap sensor. This game is also excellent in teaching your kids how to play the bongos in a way. This game is REALLY fun. I recomend it for children over the age of 6 or 7.

My son bought this for our daughter and at first I thought, "GREAT, MORE STUFF TO CLEAN UP." But we haven't stopped playing it since! We laugh so hard at our first (or second, or third...) attempt at the hard songs, but it's all worthwhile when you finally get to "clear" a song. It totally ROCKS!

I love this great toy! I love it even though I barley recognize any of the sogs. I love this great game and you might think that the price is a little steep, I think it could be lowered, but it is great! You got to get this game for your kid, I got it for Christmas and I love it!

I love Donkey Konga! The Bongo drums make it so interactive and unique. But I learned that the new black wii IS NOT backwards compatible and WILL NOT play GameCube games. I cannot play this game on my black wii.

Me being the music and the classic Donkey Konga fan I am. I was ecstatic to receive this in the mail, then 10 mins later I felt differently, the songs were all covers which wasn't expected (and since the previous game didn't stoop that low) I feel that they shouldn't have made a sequel to such an amazing game, its false advertising. Stick with the first one, unless you like Kidz Bop type music.. and I guess some people do.

The game is pretty fun, they need to get some better songs though. As far as where i got it, it came on time, and nothing is wrong with it.

My kids and grand kids had a blast with this game. It was really great and the bongos added s something new for them to play with. Glad we got it!

i remember playing this game years ago when it came out (years before guitar hero or rock band) and i am glad to say that it is just as enjoyable today. the tracks maybe slighly dated and there are quite fewer songs available, considering this game's more modern counterparts have the ability to download song packs. however i enjoyed it thoroughly, as i did years previoiusly. the game is more fun to play with others, but not a necessity. i believe it also could be fun to play as a family (i played this game with my cousins during easter, they really enjoyed it).

We tend to buy games that can include more than one person, and found
that requirement in this game.
