5.0 out of 5 stars One Of The Greatest Punk Albums Ever
"Don't Back Down" and "Love Songs For The Retarded" are my two favorite Queer's albums. And two of the very best punk albums ever. Not since "London Calling" and "Nevermind The Bollocks" has punk been this good. I don't care much for the Beach Boys' cover which is the album's namesake, but you have 13 other amazing tracks. Clever...

3.0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars, but 3 for this reissue
Back in 1996 I purchased this album, and for the first time i heard this CD became immediately in one of my favorites punk albums. Don't Back Down is so good from beginning to end that you don't have to skip any song, the Asian Man version sense this and join a couple of the songs in the album (bad idea), the mixing it's also not as good as the first issue, Punk Rock...

Clever lyrics, fast hard music and vulgarity I haven't heard since Grandma stopped drinking. "Born To Do Dishes" is a great anthem for those of us who can't afford to buy cd's in the first place. "I'm OK ..." Is one of my all time favorites. Overall an incredible album.

Back in 1996 I purchased this album, and for the first time i heard this CD became immediately in one of my favorites punk albums. Don't Back Down is so good from beginning to end that you don't have to skip any song, the Asian Man version sense this and join a couple of the songs in the album (bad idea), the mixing it's also not as good as the first issue, Punk Rock Girls one of my favorite songs in the album sounds slightly different with more emphasis on the organ sound. In the positive of this re-issue i can say that Includes 3 more songs from their EP Bubble Gum Dreams currently out of print. If you want to replace this album in your collection (like me) buy the Lookout! RecordsDon't Back Down

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Pop Punk, October 24, 2005
This review is from: Don't Back Down (Audio CD)
This is a CD I have owned for years, but I never get bored of lsitening to. It's pretty much a Pop Punk masterpiece. The Queers are a band rooted in an older punk style, but who helped influence the new. I guess that could be seen as either a good or bad thing, but back to the point..if you like any of the newer punk bands out there you should really check out this CD. This is as good as it gets.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pop Punk Classic, June 30, 2005
This review is from: Don't Back Down (Audio CD)
Hey Punkrockers! This is one of the classics. When you're into cool pop punk like Ramones, Screeching Weasel, Undertones, then this is the CD for you. It's on the same level as Love Songs For The Retearded, but this here is much poppier. Would be a great point to start if you're new to The Queers.

4.0 out of 5 stars This one's got it all!...., September 9, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Don't Back Down (Audio CD)
The Queers are a great punk band with a lot of weird sounding but catchy song's, and this cd is just that. This cd has a nice mix of punk, love *in there own way*, beach boys sounding songs, you'll laugh at the funny, yet cool as hell track "don't back down" and find your self coming back to "punk rock girls" and "i can't get over you" This cd has something for everyone, weather you're looking for crude punk rock or just a catchy love song this cd is what you would need, it's a great one!

Hey punkers, if you are a queers fan, this is a must have album. All the songs are great. It also features their original drummer, who died of a brain tumor. well, don't just sit there, order it, folks!
