Book Description

080595001X 978-0805950014 February 13, 2001
Guys, yes, you can overcome your shyness no matter how severe. In Don’t Be Afraid to Dance: The Shy Man’s Guide to Dating and Sex, Brock takes a painfully sincere, often humorous look at his own shyness to help analyze the dating dilemma of the shy man. His message is straightforward: If you are spending too many nights alone, follow the process of self-discovery in this book to improve your encounters with the opposite sex.

Don’t be confused by the title, the book doesn’t discuss the finer points of dancing, instead Brock makes the challenge of winning the ladies’ attention less overwhelming by solidifying it into a concrete process. By describing some of his own experiences, Brock takes you through the process in a series of written exercises. With topics ranging from how to present the best “you;” overcoming the fear of the first approach; conversation starters; what else to say and when to day it; dating tips; and suggestions to ease many of the concerns men have regarding sexual adequacy, Don’t Be Afraid to Dance is a thorough treatment of sensitive subject matter.

Possibly the most honest and comprehensive book written about the issue, Don’t Be Afraid to Dance reveals a clear, personalized method of capturing the elusive date and what to do from that point. Does Jay Brock’s formula for success really work? Try it and see for yourself
