This book brought me the same level of joy MAD Magazine brought me when I was 12. I've been reading it on my toilet again and again.

Tears. Laughter. Tears.,
By SanGio (Seattle, WA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Don't Be That Guy: A Collection of 60 Annoying Guys We All Know and Wish We Didn't (Paperback)
Required reading for every male on the planet. I was expecting a moderate chuckle - was pleasantly surprised to find deep insights on humanity summarized by bite-sized poetic wit, and complimented with a hilarious illustrative style. Soon-to-be-a-classic. Witness ye the birth of a comedic franchise.

The best self-help book out there!,
By David Morin "Former Dave Matthew's Fan" (Berkeley, CA United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Don't Be That Guy: A Collection of 60 Annoying Guys We All Know and Wish We Didn't (Paperback)
Throw away your battered copy of "How to Win Friends and Influence People". Get rid of that dog-eared paperback "How to Be a Better Person". Guys, this is the only self-help book you will ever need. And it is without a doubt the funniest. I laughed hysterically when a spot-on portrait of my co-worker showed up. Then cried when I showed up. Then laughed uncontrollably when my dad and best friend showed up. Then cried when I showed up yet again. To quote the Forward, "To all of you, consider this a full-length mirror: an honest little reflection to help you see the bonehead we all see in you." It's time for me to turn off the Dave Matthews, remove my wool hat, and read this little gem once more. The perceptive writing is genius and may just help me to become a better person!

You will read this over and over. deft analysis - takes what is virtually unmentionable and just makes you laugh out loud. These traitors should never be trusted during any guy gathering again.

Laugh Out Loud Funny,

This review is from: Don't Be That Guy: A Collection of 60 Annoying Guys We All Know and Wish We Didn't (Paperback)
Are you the kind of person who doesn't enjoy laughing out loud at things you read? Then do not buy this book. Repeat. Do not buy this book.I'm serious. If you don't have a funny bone in your body, then don't put yourself through the Hell that would be reading this genuinely funny book. You'll be miserable and thinking the whole time, "God, why did I waste my money on this funny, funny book? I could have purchased that bio-degradable garden string instead." Save yourself the aggravation and just buy the garden string, for God's sake.

Amazing. If you don't recognize yourself in one of these, you'll definitely recognize one of your friends. I am the guy that talks to other people at the urinal.

Reasonable illustrations, but...,

...it's difficult to imagine any other reason to peruse this book, unless you want to claim that you've read a book and are not particular about which book it happens to be. I went through the thing standing in the bookstore--sorry, Amazon--finished in 20 or so minutes, and found nothing that (a) caused a chuckle, a smile, a nod of recognition, or a nod of acknowledgment for insight or (b) made me want to repeat what I'd read to anyone.

Not unfunny, but from beginning to end maybe 15 minutes to read. Also displayed very poorly in the iPad. Not worth it.

At the risk of being "That Guy Who Only Speaks in Hyperbole" this is one of the funniest books i've read in a long time. Do yourself a favor, read it, tinkle a bit in your pants, and then pass it along to one or two of your friends who needs the subtle hint. And then change your underwear.
