4.0 out of 5 stars Great album!
Is it just me or did Oasis just keep getting better and better? I always thought the first two albums were a lit...tle....bit overrated, to be honest. I liked them initially but the poor audio and the hype was just too much. Other than Champaign Supernova, of course. Then they unleashed Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe the Truth. I just finished listening to both for...

3.0 out of 5 stars mick
I'm sorry but this is a mediocre Oasis album. Granted it is more rock than the previous few, but it is no where near 4-5 stars! Part of the queue is a great song, but it is basically Badly Drawn Boy. If you want five stars listen to "Definitely Maybe", for 4 stars go to "Morning Glory", "Standing on the Shoulders of Giants", or "Dig Out Your Soul". Otherwise, this and...

4.0 out of 5 stars Great album!, July 10, 2010

Is it just me or did Oasis just keep getting better and better? I always thought the first two albums were a lit...tle....bit overrated, to be honest. I liked them initially but the poor audio and the hype was just too much. Other than Champaign Supernova, of course. Then they unleashed Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe the Truth. I just finished listening to both for the first time. Like any Oasis album, they are spotty. But the high points are so darn good. I don't know why people dissed these guys after WTSMG. This is extremely high quality MODERN pop. I promise you will not walk away from either not wanting to hit replay. I know... I was surprised too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding!, January 7, 2011
This review is from: Don't Believe the Truth (Audio CD)
I bought this on a whim as I love their earlier stuff. The first time my wife and I heard it, we said to each other, "this album is great! And it gets even better the more one listens. We like all the songs, the ones written by the other band members are just as good as Noel's. Liam sounds in top form, great guitar work as usual, and it's a fun album. If you're an Oasis fan, you won't regret buying this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Believe this truth....this is a great disc!, March 9, 2011
This review is from: Don't Believe the Truth (Audio CD)
These songs stand up with anything from their previous recordings. These songs are pure Oasis - big choruses, catchy riffs, and precise musicianship. There is only one song that could be described as "filler" (Part of the Queu).

Don't miss a great ROCK disc, especially

Turn Up the Sun

Lyla

Guess God thinks I'm Abel

This disc outclasses the majority of music from 2000-2010.

No Band ever could make phantastic Albums!! Even the Stones, The Beatles stopped before it was too late. This Album is good but not good enough but good enough for all those Engineers who loved them several years before. Go around hear it 17 times but don`t think it`s a GREAT ALBUM
