5.0 out of 5 stars Best Dance Remix of the Summer, August 25, 2000

This review is from: Don't Call Me Baby (Audio CD)
There's probably a dozen or so versions of Madison Avenue's "Don't Call Me Baby" floating around your local music store. If you're looking for the track will keep you dancing, pick up a copy of the "Babe From Outta Space" remix. It grabs hold of you from the opening beat and it doesn't let go. It's one of the few songs that stays in your head even after it's over. Seven minutes of pure high energy and Cheyne Coates is certainly the cherry on top of the sundae. Her vocal talents

are fresh and clean. She has a unique sound which leaves the listener wanting to hear more. Bravo Madison Avenue! Looking forward to your next release. Jayson David

4.0 out of 5 stars new remixes of a fabulous track, May 27, 2000
This review is from: Don't Call Me Baby (Audio CD)
"Don't Call Me Baby" is one of the catchiest club songs heard in a very long time. Awesome vocal skills paired with an intoxicating hook make for a fabulous little number. Cheyne Coates has got a wonderful voice that is very fresh and new - she does not sound like most vocalists out there today - although I have heard comparisons to Crystal Waters (myself, I do not hear this similarity).

Armin Van Buuren (remixes for Wamdue Project's "King Of My Castle" and DJ Rene's "Music All Over The World") remixes this song with some interesting breaks and a tougher beat than the original. Pretty decent mix here.

The "Madison Babe From Outta Space Mix" has an even tougher beat than Armin's remix. This remix contains elements of Pragha Khan's "Disco Babes From Outer Space", and is a pretty substantial remix as well.

The best mix on the disc though, is the original version. Unfortunatly, on this single, it is only the radio edit. The full length mix is better, only because you get to listen to it for a longer length of time! The full length version was available on the deleted Australian & UK editions on the single, and may be included on the US edition (but I'm not sure about that).

time listings:

1) Original Mix Edit - 3:47

2) Armin Van Buuren's Stalker Mix - 7:00

3) Madison Babe From Outta Space Remix - 7:00

the only reason that this disc got 4 out of 5 stars is because of the missing Original 12" Mix, if this track would have been included it would have been a five star disc for sure. purchase and enjoy

I did a review of this song on the original US Domestic CD I think... I gave it a 4 out of 5 because it was missing the Madison Babe From Outer Space Remix!!

Well look no more... here it is!! Then a 5 is the one! This song rocks!! Looks for their other single too Who the Hell are you! and a third one is on its way...

I heard someone say these guys would be a one hit wonder... DON'T THINK SO!!!
