5.0 out of 5 stars At last a book of empowerment for those with brain disorders, June 11, 2001
This review is from: Don't Call Me Nuts : Coping with the Stigma of Mental Illness (Paperback)
When this book arrived in the mail I hoped I wouldn't be disappointed or bored. I needn't have worried, it is fantastic. It reads easily, yet takes on some tough subjects such as: whether or not to disclose mental illness, addressing stigma and suggestions for handling society and bringing about greater understanding. The examples are colorful and the suggestions are useful. What a superb job Patrick Corrigan and Robert Lundin have done. I hope this team puts forth some more books for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for trainers, September 27, 2001

This review is from: Don't Call Me Nuts : Coping with the Stigma of Mental Illness (Paperback)
Don't Call Me Nuts is a very complete publication on the topic of stigma as it relates to mental health. The wonderful thing about the way it is written is that it could be used to teach about stigma and predjudice as they relate to any topic. This would be a very helpful book for anyone concerned about mental health or for any teachers, or corporate trainers who want to teach about the painful consequences of prejudice.
