Don't Be Cruel was Elvis' biggest hit single in the US. With Hound Dog on the flip-side the single stayed at number 1 on the US sales chart for 11 weeks in 1956. It also topped the Country and R&B charts. The song became an Elvis standard and still receives radio airplay today. The single would eventually be certified MULTI-PLATINUM with sales in excess of 4 million. A pop rock classic!
