Watching this movie blew me out of the saddle so to speak because it was so accurate. I was an Air Force Medic in Nam and the Phillipines. There were no Hollywood special effects, shootem up thing. It showed the emotional side of our day to day life as it happened there. The detail was stunningly accurate !! Bob :-)

One of THE most memorable films I have ever seen! I think I saw it first in the early '80's and made a vhs tape of it off the Satellite so I could watch it again and again, and share it with friends. Dennis Christopher was great. Was just watching his earlier stand-out performance in "Breaking Away" and was distressed to find out that "Don't Cry..." was NOT on DVD. What will it take?

Don't Cry Its Only Thunder gave me a whole new take on the Vietnam War.
That was my era. I saw a young man, there to do his time and he had to
quickly grow up and he did it well. I remember the music was fantastic.
Everyone should see this wonderful movie. I have since lost my hearing
and would love to see it out on DVD with subtitles. I'm with the other
guy except for a different reason. See it! Don't take your hearing
for granted either.
