Editorial Reviews

Review

Sally Patton brings an enlightened perspective on how to parent from a balanced place of love, and beautifully articulates the idea of changing one's Mind about their children rather that trying to fix them. The importance of moving past the labeling of our children and experiencing the essence of the Spirit is not ignored in this book. "Don't Fix Me I'm not Broken" is a God-send to anyone who wishes to join with their children rather than separate, love rather than fear, and accept their Divinity rather than deny their perfection. (Gary Renard and Cindy Lora-Renard, Bestselling author, The Disappearance of the Universe; Cindy-MA Spiritual Psychologist)

Format: Paperback
Sally Patton has written an enlightening and uplifting book that is truly a gift to parents and children alike. Through her heartfelt accounts of the transfomative shifts that she has made through her own parenting journey, Sally guides us to a deeply authentic and truly liberating parenting perspective; the parenting experience is a spiritual classroom and the curriculum is Divine Love. As we parents allow our trials to yield to truth, we are blessed with the fruits of our new vision. Our children, who before were the cause of our worry and fear, now are known and honored as Love's teachers. The struggles we have long resisted and resented, now become the rich tutorial that guides us in the ways of Love. Sally offers concrete and highly useful ways to initiate and nurture this peaceful perspective. Whenever we struggle with the challenge of any experience, we can reclaim Love's vision. "I could have peace, instead of this." To change our experience, we can change our minds. Many thanks to Sally for offering this beautiful book, sure to inspire, encourage and heal.

Format: Paperback
Sally Patton has done it again. She gets right to the heart of relating with children that have been labeled "special needs." In her new book, Don't Fix Me, I'm Not Broken, Sally bravely asks us to perceive with our hearts and to step away from the culturally accepted view of parenting, where all children need to "fit in." Sally shows us, through openly sharing her journey with her son, Tyler, how she has changed her perceptions and attitudes. And that is the core- learning to appreciate the gifts that are in your life, when society says they are a burden. This is not your typical parenting book, this book is a spiritual text. This is a manual on how to parent and how to live a spiritual life. It is about how to use your precious life to open you and teach you and help you grow and ultimately shine. Shine your bright light of unconditional love. Sally does this while also giving practical tools and sound advice, as she addresses the many issues that arise in parenting our children.
