Very good and informative a must for any long distance hiker! Two thumbs up to the "Gear Chick".

OK, but there's much better available
A useful, but very small, little book. Not nearly as good as "The Essential Outdoor Gear Manual: Equipment Care, Repair, and Selection" by Getchell, which offers much more complete information as well as enlightened discussion.
