I bought his first album after seeing him open up for Beady Eye. It was a good album, with a smooth vibe. This album however is fantastic rocker from start to finish, even better than the first, top notch, give it a try.

Why this guy never made it here in America I'll never know. Lack of record company support from Sony probably. I don't think he has played here. Look up his videos on Youtube. He channels the Paul Weller/Mod vibe on the poppy ¨Better Than That.¨ Indeed, Kane collaborated with Weller on two of the album's songs, although ¨Better Than That¨ is a co-write with Andy Partridge of XTC fame. Listen for the oblique shout-outs to James Brown and the Beatles in the first stanza. It also has a hot girl.

He also looks dapper in the black-and-white video for the title track, another upbeat tune with a killer singalong chorus. And then there is Taking Over, a ¨live" video and a similarly catchy chorus and great bridge. Definitely worth a shot. Hopefully he can get things rolling here with a booking on Kimmel or Fallon, or a solid opening slot for an established act.

"Colour of the Trap" was good, and I thought this one would be similar to it--but it's a thousand times better! The songs have more substance to them, and they have a lot more "thickness"--bass, guitar, drums, etc.--and overall I think it's written much better than the first. Some songs have a notable 60s sound to them, with an added heavier rock sound (which actually makes them better). The album also gives off a pretty positive vibe overall. Great stuff, and I'll certainly be looking forward to his third album!

Miles Kane once again releases an amazing album. Unlike the tranquil Colour of the Trap, Miles comes out rocking in this one. I feel in love with this album after the first listen, and haven't stopped listening since. A must buy!

Every song on this album is fantastic, but especially "Darkness in our Hearts", "Don't Forget Who You are" and "Out of Control".
