Liverpool indie-rock band Echo & The Bunnymen were formed in 1978 by singer Ian McCulloch, guitarist Will Sergeant and bass player Les Pattinson. Joined by drummer Pete de Freitas, they released their debut album Crocodiles in 1980 and Heaven Up Here in 1981.
