3.0 out of 5 stars Don't Mess With The Beat, But Please Mess With The Lyrics
Despite Nivea's obvious singing talent, her debut single is lacking something that every song must have. Meaningful and powerful lyrics. "Don't Mess With The Radio" has an incredible beat in the background, but at times its not strong enough to overshadow the poor lyrics. If "Don't Mess With The Radio" is any indication of the lyrics we are to...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great song, September 29, 2001

Nivea is new of course at Jive Records. Jive is a very good record company that is behind lots of best selling music. Nivea just might be the next. "Don't Mess With The Radio" is a great song that is very catchy & by the chorus, you'll be bopping your head & singing along even if you don't know the words. A great track, definetly a great single. Plus, you get the instrumental & 6 snippets from her upcoming debut self-titles album. 9/10

4.0 out of 5 stars I really like this song!, July 25, 2001

Nivea's "Don't Mess With the Radio" is a great song, but not the best. I like pop music, and I first saw her music video on Mtv. I went out and bought the single, and I really like it. So for all you pop listeners out there, get this single!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nivea Is So Damn Cute. 8/10, July 20, 2001

I love Nivea's look she is such a pretty girl and she reminds me of a black Britney Spears. Well her first single "Don't Mess With The Radio" is a pretty hot and very damn catchy song. I really like Nivea's look and after hearing her on Mystikal's single "Danger" I thought I would never see her again but then she comes out with her first blazing single. I just hope she gets the promotion she needs. Also check out her hot snippets from her upcoming album.

Despite Nivea's obvious singing talent, her debut single is lacking something that every song must have. Meaningful and powerful lyrics. "Don't Mess With The Radio" has an incredible beat in the background, but at times its not strong enough to overshadow the poor lyrics. If "Don't Mess With The Radio" is any indication of the lyrics we are to expect on her debut album, don't expect to be able to listen to the meaningless squabble straight through.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nivea's debut single., July 9, 2001
This review is from: Don't Mess With The Radio (Audio CD)
Newcomer Nivea. This girl appears to want to take a bite out of Top 40 radio or at least her label does(Jive). This is basiclly just a booty shakin leave me alone I'm da bomb type of anthem I guess. Its not a bad song I'm just a little sick of all the wannabes. If you don't get satisfied with mere lucky charms(sugar coated pop/over produce R&B),but crave for some more nutricious and fullfilling(true sincere meaningfull music) you wont enjoy this much, but if you like light-hearted booty shaking tunes you'll like this. But if you are searching for great music you wont find it here either. Just a really catchy R&B tune. Nothing new nothing refreshing just same ol same ol with kind of funky lyrics yet same as usual lyrics. Well enjoy the emptiness. Nivea has the skills she just needs to use them on better music. Not say this song sucks its just not meaningfull. But not everyone wants something with meaning say it may please you.

God Bless ...
