I was able to follow a number of the self guided tours through the city which helped me learn the lay of the land and gave me an enthusiast's perspective on the multilayerd history of this amazing town.

I also found the detailed Metro guide a constant companion in navigating the city. I found I could get most anywhere I wanted to go via the Metro and thank goodness too because any time I had to take a taxi I ended up languishing in traffic and paying a lot more money!

Ms. Knapps obviously has a great love for Greece and Athens in particular.
