5.0 out of 5 stars Real, Unadulterated Teenage Rock and Roll
These four Mexican kids from just North of the border got together at the dawn of the Ramones Revolution and played some of the greatest punk rock of all time. Influenced by both the Ramones and New York Dolls, the Zeros put a glam twist on punk rock that was tempered by their very basic lyrics, songwriting and musicianship. 3.0 out of 5 stars This ain't the purple haired Zeros.
In case anyone is as big a fan as I am of the Zeros from the Sunset Strip days when they painted the Whisky A Gogo purple this is a definitely a different band. How confusing. Get a copy of 4,3,2,1 The Zeros by the purple haired glampunks to hear what us mongers loved about them.

The "Mexican Ramones" is a pretty accurate description of this band. And, like the Ramones, The Zeros were heavily influenced by 60's music. However, it is unfair to describe them entirely as Ramones clones because they did develop their own sound during their unfortunately short career. This is just great Rock 'n Roll, pure and simple.

Later material was not quite as endearing as the first blast, but certainly stands on its own and requires no explanations or excuses. The only excuse you're going to have to make to is to yourself if you don't get this CD in your collection right now!

4.0 out of 5 stars ZEROS?...WHAT A GREAT BAND!!!!!, February 24, 2004
This review is from: Don't Push Me Around (Audio CD)
4 stars and half star else...I've recently heard this cd and is simple, like ramones, and is great (not so great as ramones, but it have their own things). highly recommended for people who likes Ramones, Lurkers, Vibrators, etc.
all those are demos and some live songs, and the sound is not so clear but that's the reason I like it.

I love the zeros. I think they are underrated. Their music is very simple but at the same time very effective.
