5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent single...
What can i say about Paulinas debut English single... Its very upbeat, and after a few listens its really kinda catchy. The video is similar to Kylies video for In Your Eyes. But thats where the similarities end. The video is eye catching, and is a perfect compliment to the song. Seeing as how this track is getting major airplay, video play (MTV), and racing up the Top...

2.0 out of 5 stars The Most Unoriginal Singer of the Year
Paulina Rubio is not known for the most creative of lyrics, even in her Spanish albums. So when I heard she was crossing over, I did not expect anything groundbreaking (or even Shakira-esque). The video is a direct copy of Willa Ford's "I Wanna Be Bad" and the song sounds like a funked-up, techno'd out cover of something from the eighties.

Paulina mostly...

5.0 out of 5 stars Paulina is a Diva., April 6, 2003
This review is from: Don't Say Goodbye (Audio CD)
Paulina Rubio is one of the biggest singers in the latin market. Her album "Paulina" was nominated for 4 Grammy awards and became multi-platinum in the U.S.
"Border girl" is her latest album and her first in English. The album debuted at #11 in the Hot 200 of Billboard and had good critics. To start this project she released her first English single that became an international hit in English and in Spanish with its version "Si tu te vas". The song is full of energy is a great dance song and Paulina's voice is sexy and that makes a very good mix.
The video of the song was a million dollar budget and was also very good and hot.
Good work Paulina you're one of the best.

Whoa!!
This girl sounds really cool.
I've just loved this song "Don't say goodbye" for the first time i've heard it in tv show.
Suddenly i bought this single, and it's amazing, i also like the spanish version "Si tu te vas" that is included too, and another song called "Fire", in it her voice sounds pretty awesome and really sexy.
I'm almost sure that if you buy this you will love it, you won't regret.

Paulina mostly tries to be Jennifer Lopez, but the urban qualities that made Jennifer a success make Paulina's attempt laughable. I like her well enough, but Paulina needs to find a true sense of herself in her life and her music.

It's an okay dance track, but this woman's career needs quite a bit of work.

4.0 out of 5 stars A shameless copy of Madonna's "VOGUE", June 12, 2002
By
This review is from: Don't Say Goodbye (Audio CD)
Paulina's new song "Don't Say Goodbye" is a song intended to be a radio hit, but what I do not understand is why she copied Madonna`s style in Vogue?. In her previous album Paulina mixed up rhythms and those fusions made her a star in her own after being trying for several years to succeed. But I think that this song takes her one step back. I'm sure all of you have listened to Madonna's "Vogue" and once you get to listened Paulina's "Don't Say Goodbye" you'll get my point. But I'm sure that for its commercial potencial it'll be a worldwide success.
