When I first heard "Don't Say You Don't Remember," after it's release in late'71, it was as if I'd been swept back to the late 50's or early 60's when girls & girl groups dominated the charts. I'm surprised that the song only peaked at 15 on the Billboard Pop chart -- but then, Carole King & Carly Simon and that whole transition into the country/folk/rock thing ruled the airwaves then. "Don't Say..." was a breath of fresh air. Plus, I guess, it was kinda cool that she's from my home town (Chicago).I still have her original "I'll Make You Music" Sceptor LP (SPS 5102) with that great picture of her in the pink silk dress. One of my favorite tracks was "Get Smart Girl," and I thought it was gutsy of her to take a Rascal's tune (A Girl Like You) and make it hers (A Guy Like You). Nice job on "Poor Side of Town," too. In any case, I recommend this CD if only because there's so little of this talented lady that's been released, and she hardly deserves to be among Pop's One Hit Wonders.

I have known Beverly Bremers for a couple of years and have always admired her. I have taken several of her voice classes and have strived to model my life after her, she's a "Never give up, Never say Die" kind of person and thats what I love about her. Today, this very day, I found out that she is famous, I mentioned her name to my father and he knew who she was, which brought me here. My admiration for her was not based on popularity and I just want to thank Bev for teaching me that life is too short to give up on your dreams!

This lady is an incredibly awesome singer, and no doubt, a wonderful human being! I bought/still have her Sceptor Records "I'll Make You Music" Lp when it was issued and I was in school, as well as her two classic hit "45"s, "DON'T SAY YOU DON'T REMEMBER" and "WE'RE FREE" - plus several of the followup singles: "I'll Make You Music", "Run To Him"(Originally a Bobby Vee hit in early 60's)and her movie soundtrack single "Heaven Help Us". Great songs from a great artist! www.beverlybremers.com - THANK YOU BEVERLY for your great songs and the wonderful memories they bring! She deserves to have ALL her recordings reissued on a double disc compilation.

I've found it! I've been looking off and on for this artist and her album for many years, only to hear"Beverly who?",or out of print, or "Good luck",and so on.Being a little old fashion,I've balked on computers and the web until recently, and unfortunatly, for me ,I've been missing out.Hey,old dogs can learn new tricks.I Don't own this album yet-it will be among my next order.I'm rating the album with a five for the title track. It would carry any album to a five even if the rest of the disc were blank.I've read Beverly's message on the review page, and would like to have her e-mail address if possible. Thanks,Carl.

Back in 72, the first time I heard "Don't say you don't remember" and "I'll make you music", I was only 13, but that beautiful voice of Beverly just kept ringing in my ears all these years. In my humble opinion, her voice is the sweetest and richest in feeling of all the female singers since the 70s. period. We miss you, Beverly.

Was there ever a time in your life when a singer touched you so much with a gifted voice on the radio and then only wonder what happened to them a short time later? If you are my age I am pretty sure you are going to say yes. For me one of those singers is Beverly Bremers. In the days of Vinyl, 8-Tracks, Bell Bottoms and no internet it was very easy to loose track of many artists especially those who had only one maybe two hits and I believe several of you will agree with me. I purchased Beverlys, Don't Say You Don't Remember, on a 45 as soon as it was available in late 1971 to early 1972 because it was so beautiful. It peaked at a well deserved # 15 on the Billboard Pop Chart in 1972. Beverly also had one song that was a Top 40 and yet another that was a top 60 and they were, We're Free, and, I'll Make You Music, in that order and all three are here. To me Beverly sounds great on each and every track on this extremely rare Disc. She even sings an ole Rascals tune being track # 3 and also an ole Johnny Rivers classic being track # 9.
If you are only wanting Beverly's, Don't Say You Don't Remember, you can find it on Vol. 7 of Rhino's, Super Hit's Of The 70s:Have A Nice Day, series (And Vol.7 is becoming rare) but I wanted this Disc.I fill very lucky to have found it. If all music fans were like this ole boy this CD would be easy to find because she had a voice that touched some thirty three years ago. Thanks Bev: I have always remembered.

Very underrated artist. As a DJ who collects and plays Rare Music on a small community station, after listening to her LP and her 45s, the question that pops in my mind with her music and other artists/groups/ performers "How come they didn't have more hits?" I recommend this CD for any lover of Rare music from the early 70s.
