5.0 out of 5 stars The best Dawsons book yet!, November 23, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Don't Scream (Dawson's Creek 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
Don't Scream is the best Dawson's book because it is the funniest. In the book there is a really cheesy horror movie being made in Capeside. Everyone thinks Dawson is going to get a job on it but the producer hates him and doesn't give him a job. What happens afterward is the funniest. There is also a kind of obnoxious new girl named Patrice who reminds me of a really annoying girl at my school. Read this one and laugh a lot!

2.0 out of 5 stars Could have been tonnes better..., November 20, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Don't Scream (Dawson's Creek 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
When I first saw the title of this book, I was honestly quite intrigued and excited. My first thought was, a cross of "Dawson's Creek" and a horror movie? This book could easily have been something like that, especially with such a title. It could also have chosen to be a parody of such horror films. Instead, it was as normal as any other Dawson's Creek novel. Normally, I would commend the authors for bringing to life the characters of an excellent show, but here, I criticise them for taking such a normal route with a title like this. It could easily have been called anything else, and it wouldn't make a difference. All I'm saying is that if they want to give it a title like "Don't Scream", and have a horror movie set as a premise, they could have woven a far more interesting and refreshing plot together. The book was really quite a disappointment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute story, March 12, 2011

This review is from: Don't Scream (Dawson's Creek 8) (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is a very easy read, and the basic story line is cute. I guess it's aimed towards teens, however, it does tend to treat it's readers as stupid. Also the characters are not really like their TV counterparts. But I'll probably buy the other books, too. I find it weird that the authors won't identify themselves!
