My son is 14 months old and this is his favorite book. It's actually the only book he will sit through. After I finish reading it he reaches for it so that I can read it to him again. I purchased about 20 copies as party favors for my son's first birthday party. Since giving them out, several of the moms have told me that the book is now their child's favorite book as well. It's a super cute story and the illustrations are fantastic. Such creativity. I highly recommend it.

My 2.5 year old daughter loves this book.

As a parent, I found it easy to read (which is #1 priority for me) and lots of fun random illustrations beyond the norm.

She loves to say the "Don't squish the Sasquatch! Part as I turn the pages which makes it interactive.

Definitely cute!

When I read the opening lines of: "Hello, Mr. Blobule! May I please ride your bus?" I knew I was in for a book of unsurpassed silliness. Don't Squish the Sasquatch is a simple, repetitive, ridiculous, and, therefore, completely brilliant book for beginning readers. And if the repetition starts to get to you as an adult, just look over the child's shoulder to see the equally ridiculous (and, therefore, completely brilliant) illustrations.

I don't know a whole lot about the publishing of children's books, but I think normally a book is written and then the illustrator is found. In this case, however, I tend to think that Kent Redeker knew that Bob Staake would be illustrating his book as he was writing it. I can't think of anyone better suited for bringing Mr. Octo-Rhino to life.

Don't Squish the Sasquatch was a shocking surprise. The cover is very animated, for some reason I wasn't sure my 3 year old would like it, so I got it for my 7 year old. They both LOVE this book. The voice of the bus driver is basically done in an Italian accent when read, and the voices of the different fictitious friendly monsters range far and wide. It's written simply, but still a smart, fun-loving story. There's no real "lesson learned" except not to squish the sasquatch :) and that's ok, because there are too many books with lessons and I get bored too sometimes... this stirs something more important then a lesson, it sparks imagination! FUN book, highly recommend as a gift!

After having read it to a 4-year-old nephew just a few times he was impressed. Giggled when the different characters were explained to him. Before the evening was out he had us lined up on the davenport, as the different characters boarading the bus, and he was the one that got squished. Then he wanted everyone to "smooch" him, followed by a group hug in the middle of the livingroom. Certainly a book that draws children into the story and they have fun with it.

"Don't Squish the Sasquatch" is a very original and creative children's story. This has become my 3-year-old's favorite book. He has a great laugh every time we read it together. The characters are original and brightly illustrated. Even my 6 year old loves to practice reading by reading this book to his younger brother. I highly recommend this for your kids or as an original gift for other young children!

This is a fast-paced, super fun book! My six-year-old and three-year-old both love it. (And so do mom and dad.) Creative text and illustrations take readers on an enjoyable ride with Señor Sasquatch on Mr. Blobule's bus--with a silly twist at the end. I highly recommend it.
