Don't Starve is a unique journey through a really terrifying nightmare. Survival is at the heart of the game play where construction, research, and luck are factors in your survival. Graphics are simple but very stylized and interesting.

My Steam library says I've played for 52 hours and that was even before the game's official release! My only complaint is that there isn't more to do and build and discover...I can easily imagine spending another 52 hours.

My interest in this game was triggered by watching a high schooler play this on his laptop. I was immediately compelled by the sort of game I never realized could be popular in the new-fangled era of overly violent or else overly character-less games.
This, my friends, is an addictive game with a new atmosphere to it that's unlike anthing I've been aware of. One thing I love about this game is its customization- I could chose Wilson for better winter survival, Woodie for a constant tool, etc. and I could add and reduce monsters and resources. Another thing I love is how each character has their own set of interesting and funny lines for various circumstances and how each one's speech is also represented by a specific instrument.

Best game ever!
This is so simple yet so fun! If you enjoy a real survival challenge this is the best! Permanent Death, you must eat, make fire fight wild animals and keep your own sanity!

They are working on a Co-Op version also. Can't wait for that!

Please note this game does require Steam (currently) so even if you buy form amazon you will still need to activate on Steam.
Steam also has good sales on it so check them before.

My grandson Garrett was visiting me for one week during Spring break. He missed his games at home. I do not have PS2 or any of the other devices kids all have today but
I do have a computer. He mentioned this game "Don't Starve" So I thought we would try it. It was less than $14. Best gift I have ever bought for my grandson. He was happy and caught on to the game with ease. And also your staff helped us to install a software that we needed in order to download the game. Your staff was fantastic. I am sold on buying from Amazon. You are the greatest! Thanks for saving Spring break.

A great game filled with things to make and areas to explore. The developer is always updating the content and fixing any bugs that might show up

This game is a great pick for anyone wanting a good survival game. It has a unique, dark art style, but it balances out with amusing elements.

(I love the amazon reviews to see if products are yea/nay) Didn't get the game here but I'll leave a note about it. Such a fun game! Was given to me as a copy from a steam friend and I am amazed I let it sit in there uninstalled for so long. Now it's my favorite games. The artwork is what drew me in finally and I still love it. Other games I play are Sims 3 and Minecraft. I like that each time you play it's never the same. Great art. Great style. Plenty of fun.

This is a fun but hard game, it definitely has a learning curve so expect to die early and often. Even after you get used to the game you will probably die as the season change from Spring which you start in to winter in about 100 game days. New characters unlocking (with lvls gain by surviving),and variable world creation each time you start new lend to re-playability. A time sink that is fun once you get the hang of the game. I recommend getting help for basic game play and advance game strategy but now to look at many of the games spoilers which include cool items or places that let you do interesting things....

So all in all a fun and sometimes frustrating game!

Good Luck and remember Don't Starve

This is an amazing game. It is a survival strategy game that just throws you into a world with no real instruction and challenges you to figure out how to live. Find a way to make fire before night comes or die trying. There is also some additional dlc content that is released from time to time. You can use the stand alone version or register it in steam. You can also register it in Chrome and download the chrome browser app to play on your computer.

Great game! Not a big fansy blow em up Shooter, or highly scenematic RPG, but definatley a beautifully made action survival game to drown your time into. This little game has taken my friend group by storm as I introduced them to it. Thanks for offering this great Steam game!

However, the game should have been called "Don't Die", cause everything is out to get you and force you to react and try to survive!
