The perfect eighties album,
By Tim McClain (Easton, Maryland) - See all my reviews

"Don't Stop" by Jeffrey Osborne is one of my all-time favorite albums. The title track is infectious. "Let Me Know" is one of the smoothest ballads that still gets airplay on various Quiet Storm formats. Osborne hasn't gotten the props that he has deserved like his friend Luther Vandross, but hopefully that will change in the future. He even manages to have a sense of humor with "You Can't Be Serious"-a song about alien abduction. He also shows diversity with rock ("Hot Coals") and inspirational themes ("The Power", "Live For Today"). Great album.

The voice, its all that im hearing. there are some good tracks here, like "Is it Right?", the quintessential "Crazy Bout 'cha" and "Live For Today," but some of it sounds like it was recorded for the Flashdance soundtrack. Not anyones fault though, it was the type of stuff that was hot back in '84. The voice is still amazing and its enjoyable to laugh at now and then, and listen to the better tracks. get this if you can!
