5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous and insightful book, March 3, 2003
This review is from: Don't Stop Now, You're Killing Me: The Sadomasochism Game in Everyday Life (Hardcover)
This book is one of those rare finds. A highly readable and insightful book about a too common psychological issue: self sabotage. The author's brilliant insights and accessible examples reflect a deep understanding of the dynamics of self sabotage and explain why so many of us do ourselves more harm than good. Procrastination, destructive relationships, job failure, inability to advocate for ourselves, these are all examples of what Dr. Brandt calls everyday masochism. He offers wise and brilliant advice for chaning these destructive patterns
