I have given away many copies of this book. It is the most practical book on grief I have ever read. A friend brought me my copy back in 1984 the day after my husband died. Sara

This review is from: Don't Take My Grief Away From Me (Paperback)
My grandmother gave me this book about 6 months before she passed away. It helped her through my granfathers death and now it is helping me through hers.
This book is very short, to the point and not a bunch of psychological mumbo jumbo. It is refreshing, easy to read and interesting. You don't feel like you have to have a psychology degree in order to analyze your feelings to work through them. If you are looking for a difficult, heavy read, this is the wrong book for you. Expect to feel enlightened when you are done not analyzed.

As a minister, my husband used to give this book to grieving people. Since his death, I now give this book to grieving people. It was so helpful to me during my grieving that I know it will help others.
