I have just finished listening to this album and I must say that it is their best record to date and that isn't an exaggeration. They have returned to their punk rock sound and it is just a welcomed improvement over their last experimental album "It's Dead, Jim". The title track is a very catchy British Punk song and Jim Beam Me Up has a great bass line and drums that are hard to get out of head. Kiki is sexy as ever, especially in the Baby Take Me to Your Nuclear Wessel. There are even a couple of reflective songs that are a look back at why they started a Trek band in the songs Beam into Me and Yet Another Song About Star Trek. The most beautiful song on the album is What Would William Shatner Do? The name sounds funny, and so are the lyrics but it has a beautiful melody. Overall, I really love this album and it is now my favorite (even better than Suck My Spock!!!!) Get it!

Holy tribbles! This album will make you proud to be a geek. Warp 11 has outdone themselves with this album. Every tune is catchy and you will catch yourself singing out loud at the most inopportune times. This CD is a perfect compliment to Warp 11's growing arsenal of Trekkie fun. Each member of the crew is critical to each song's success, and is fully realized in "Yet Another Song About Star Trek." Go ahead Red Shirts, grab a copy before its too late.

You ever sat wondering about whether or not to buy a particular cd because you're just not quite sure if you like it enough to spend your hard earned ducats on? Or tried to determine from the much too brief online song samples if you like it at all - or the band in general? Or found that when you DID buy a cd it was a disappointment, and was filled with way too many boring, whiny, trying-to-be-artsy slow and droning tracks that played like the perfect soundtrack to a self-indulgent suicide instead of a rocking disc? Yeah...me too. Those are just not experiences that I have to contend with when Warp 11 releases a new disc however - I can always simply trust that it's gonna be good. I Don't Want to Go to Heaven... is a butt-kicking intergalactic stew of wildly eclectic tracks and naughty anthems, and yet another example of why Warp 11 deserves a main stream reputation as something more than merely a theme band. The truth is, is that Warp 11's output on the whole is way more rocking, singable fun than the vast majority of stuff that gets mainstream airplay. Star Trek fan or not, you can't help but head bang and drive with the hammer down while blaring "I Am Not Herbert" and "I Make It So," or shoot an evil grin to the hot chick in the car next to you while Kiki Stockhammer belts out "Baby Take Me to Your Nuclear Wessel." If you want a fun, seriously rocking, riff-laden cd that's perfect to throw on during drive time, and one that also has the kind of stylistic variety and musical balls that most other over-hyped bands can't even come close to, then pick up this disc and kick out the jams. Rock on!

Several yeras ago, I went to Sacramento to visit a friend of mine. He dragged me, kicking and screaming, to see a "Star Trek" band. I REALLY didn't want to go. Within five minutes, I was hooked. I have never had more fun at a concert, and have driven ten hours to Sacramento many times since just to see Warp 11 play. Their CD's are almost as much fun as their live shows and this one is no exception. Yes, the songs are funny and clever. However, if you like Rock and Roll, you must take their music seriously. It is world class. Although I'm not real thrilled with the cartoon cover on this CD, it is filled with good clean (Well, maybe not so clean) fun. And with fully TWO songs about Sulu, how can you go wrong. Buy it!!

I feel blessed to have ALL of their past albums, so when I say this one is the BEST YET, it's true. The album title track is great. Jim Beam Me Up is Great. Suds Me Up Sulu (Mirror Mirror) is even better than the regular version, Brian is rockin' this one! And Kiki belts out Baby Take Me To Your Nuclear Wessel like only a red headed vixen in vinyl and rubber can do. Of course, the Captain (Karl Vance Miller) has made everyone stay late and practice practice practice... everything sounds TIGHT! Listen to this album a few times and I guarantee you'll be waking up with the tunes in your head. AND, awesome art by Ben Walker, nice illustrations!
