5.0 out of 5 stars Don't Want To Miss A Thing
I love this song. I remember the first time I heard it, I was on my way to work, and I kept thinking, I know that voice, who is singing this song. I just love Steven Tyler's voice, and I thought, this has to be him, but I've never heard him sing a song like this before. I just fell in love with this song. It's one of my favorites from Aerosmith.

2.0 out of 5 stars I got two words for this recording...SELL OUT
This is the worse aerosmith song i've ever heard. And i've heard them all b/c I got over 80(includes singles, imports, bootlegs etc..) of there c.d.'s. Not to mentions some of my orginal l.p.'s. But they really sold out. I saw them in concert and it ruled. Exept for them playing this damn song. If you are a real fan go by some of there great albums like pump,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!!!, October 13, 1999

This song is completely different from all the usual Aerosmith stuff. I have 6 of their albums and this is more pop than rock to be honest. It also isn't written by the band, it is written by Dianne Warren who writes a lot of music for people like Celine Dion. That said i have to say that the song has become my favourite song ever. I saw Aerosmith live at Wembley in July 1999 and when they played this the whole stadium hushed as the first chords started playing, then practically the whole stadium started singing along to the song, it was fantastic. A lot of Aerosmith die-hards may not like it but it was the best selling single worldwide in 1998 and i'm sure millions of people can't all be wrong!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars To all of the hardcore aerosmith fans, August 15, 2000
This review is from: I Don't Want to Miss a Thing / Animal Crackers (Audio CD)
lighten up, so they wanted a pop record...every singer makes the concession eventually, in order to get a hit record, you have to go outside your genre, so they did...but i mean, this is a beautifu song...dream on was a ballad, and no one gripes about that...i have never heard steve sing like that...maybe never will again...i get chills when i hear this song...

5.0 out of 5 stars Misconception from most of the reviewers, June 17, 1999

I observed that many HardCore Aerosmith fans loathe this song while ladies and non-Aerosmith-fans love it. And of course it will happen as this song was penned by Dianne Warren (the wife of the genius David Foster) instead of Steven Tyler/Joe Perry. I hope this will change the mind of some HardCore Aerosmith fans that think Aerosmith sold out with this - I don't think they did, why would they ever need to sell out? They are the best - It's just a "side project" which I think an AMAZING one...CHEERS

4.0 out of 5 stars Today's Formats, February 19, 2002

What a great tune and one that is worth looking for. I haven't been motivated to buy a single since the days of 45RPM records, when you could buy the single you liked for around a buck... On any format,...this AEROSMITH tune is definitely worth finding. At least I can count on Amazon.com to have what I want....

4.0 out of 5 stars Great, March 14, 2000
This review is from: I Don't Want to Miss a Thing / Animal Crackers (Audio CD)
Although this is not what we typically see from Aerosmith, it certainly does the trick and shows the mushy side of a hard-core band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, but different, January 2, 2000

This song was a great slow song if you're the slow-lover type which I am sometimes, and in those times, it made me cry, and it was great. I also love Steven Tyler's voice. However much I like it, I have to admit, it was very different from all of the other Aerosmith songs, and if you like Aerosmith, don't be sure to like this song. It has a very slow beat, so don't expect the usual rock rhythm of Aerosmith.
