Kelly's book is a life saver for anyone looking for a book to help you appreciate the body God gave you-even if you're not a size 6. Kelly's encouraging and insightful advice are sure to make you feel inspired to get moving and gain a whole new perspective on food. I love how she says food should be savored and enjoyed, not something to make you feel guilty. Her outlook on life in general is refreshing. I couldn't help but be touched by the many obstacles Kelly had to overcome to become the great success she is today. I have used her techniques with my own self care and feel 100% better about myself and my body!!!!
Please do yourself a favor and READ this fantastic book. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

YOU CAN END WAR IN YOUR OWN HEART!,

We are a world at War. We wage war on ourselves on a daily basis. Don't Weight by Kelly Bliss is a manifesto for creating peace with your body. It's a leap of faith to let go the warring ways. Perhaps folks of size having had so many declare war on us ... perhaps we will be the pioneers. Peace right now, love right now, self care RIGHT NOW ... to heal, to grow, to teach and leave our children a loving legacy in real time on a day to day basis beginning in our on hearts, with our own actions of self care and self love. A former teacher once said to me, "Never try to stop doing something; do something else." The ideas and principals in Don't Weight helped me find 'something else' to do.

Larger people deserve to be healthy, too,

While most of the information in this book is not revolutionary, Kelly writes in a loving and compassionate voice - something that many (most?) larger people rarely get to experience. I believe that I'll turn to this book for inspriation in the future. One caution: the book contains grammar and spelling errors on nearly every page, which can be quite distracting. For example, she spells Mick Jagger's name incorrectly. I'm really surprised that her editor(s) didn't catch that one. Still, a worthwhile read. I would also HIGHLY recommend "Great Shape," by Pat Lyons and Debby Burgard. That is a WONDERFUL book on plus-size fitness.
