Elly Danica was born in The Netherlands. Her family emigrated to Canada in 1952 settling in Saskatchewan. Elly has one son, Gregory, a daughter-in-law Eliza and two grandsons.
In 1998 Elly moved to the East Coast of Canada and continues to flourish there.
When she is not writing, Elly is either knitting or spinning yarn to knit.
