Great stuff. The song "Turtle shoes" is as cool as a penguin wrapped in ice cream.

Not Simple Pleasures,

Don't be fooled. This is not the original recording of Simple Pleasures. Yes it contains "Don't Worry Be Happy". It is interesting because I am a big fan, but I have no idea where the other songs on this CD originated.

It's always good to see an ORIGINAL version of anything re-issued, and I have always liked Mr. McFerrin's upbeat, optimistic tune. With the other tunes on this album, it certainly allows one to relax and re-invigorate one's self.
However, these are NOT the times to MINDLESSLY "Don't Worry, Be Happy." With 2012, and conspiracy theories on many thoughtful people's minds, the LAST thing we need to do is to spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, in a state of "Don't Worry, Be Happy." Have you ever heard the story of "The Three Little Pigs"? The "MAD" Magazine icon of Alfred E. Neuman at least presents the foolishness of always thinking "What, Me Worry?", as a debatable isssue. Don't get me wrong -- I like not having to worry, and I REALLY like being happy. But being happy, without regard for calamities that can befall one's life and one's freedom is living in a fool's paradise. A better watchword for today would be: "Be Prepared -- Be Happy"! If we are, then maybe our children and grand-children, free of the fear of having their lives regimented and their freedom confiscated, can again say, "Don't Worry, Be Happy!" Then again, Thomas Jefferson said: "Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty." Don't like to be a "down" person - but fore-warned is fore-armed. So -- I guess my interpretation of this is: "Don't Worry -- (All the time), Be Happy, (Because You've prepared yourself for any possible hazards in advance)! : )
