By RMR (Baton Rouge, LA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Don't Worry, Wags (Hardcover)
A simple, but true tale for the overly cautious child. It sends a message of hope to not worry about what might be and enjoy what is. And the world IS a big and wonderful place to explore. But, getting lost and alone in a crowd is a very real fear in many young children. Wags is a afraid of many things and worries. Wags explores the market with his family, gets separated because he gets distracted, makes a new friend in a cat and a policeman, but is joyfully reunited with his mother. Mother doesn't scold him for getting lost, but welcomes him back and say he can always go to market with the family. The repetition of "Don't worry, Wags", coupled with simple, large, soft watercolored pictures invite the young child to relax and "Don't worry". Ages 2 to 6.
