23 of 23 people found the following review helpful By Bruce Read on March 8, 2000
Format: Paperback
This book contains tables with activities, some very obscure, and check marks according to whether the activity is , Customary, Frowned upon or Illegal. Little, or no explanation is given. Some activities had obvious and serious errors (the writer suggested that it is customary to drink alcohol in public in Saudi Arabia!). There were enough other errors as well that I was aware of, to place the other information in the book under some cloud. The 'Lonely Planet' Guide to the Middle East contains better information.
