I picked up the new "Doo Wop 50" CD a couple of days ago. I've been playing it over and over at home and taking it with me when I go somewhere in the car. I'm still amazed and overwelmed at the never ending talent of the performers and the spine tingling beauty of the recordings. All of the performers, Gene Chandler, The Moonglows and especially The Capris and Johnny Maestro perform as smoothly and beautifuly today as they did thirty five or forty years ago. I'm a lover and collector of "Doo Wop" music. I'm very, very impressed with this CD and Highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys this type of music. Buy this CD to add to your collection. It is a "must have" for all "Boomers" You WILL NOT be disapointed. Can't wait to see if a Vol.II becomes available.

I have the DVD of the show (5 stars!!) and wanted to get a CD. Unfortunately, the CD only has 20 of the 38 songs. If the CD had all the songs, I would buy it.

This applies to the Doo Wop 51 CD (only 20 of 34 songs).

Too bad Rhino didn't issue a 2 CD set with all the performances.

This is the best collection of doo wop I've seen. It's a complete historical compilation worthy of serious collectors. And what a joy it is to plug the cd's into my car on long drives.
