Doodle Journal: My Life in Scribbles (Klutz)

My daughters aged 10 and 11 each have this book. They draw in it for HOURS! I am ordering one for my 5 year old and a couple to keep on hand for gifts. More geared toward girls than boys, (note to publishers- do a "boys'" version!)

When I searched this on Amazon, I didn't find many helpful reviews. So I bought the book and decided to write one myself.

The book comes with a blue gel pen, which is conveniently strapped on a elastic band on the cover of the book.

Inside the book, there are pictures with light, gray lines. Those are pictures that you can trace and add more stuff onto it. For example, the very first page is Gray=Play. There is an example of a fish with spikes and a "pierced ear". So even if you are artistically challenged, you can trace over the lines and embellish them. There's also a page "Name Doodling." You can inscribe your name in a jillion different ways on two blank pages. If your mind suddenly becomes blank, there are so many different examples that border the pages. Some pages are blank with a saying. I'm guessing that you can doodle whatever you wish on there.

This book is really good for traveling, especially long airplane rides.

My 12 yo loves this journal and uses it all the time. There is a lot to do in it and yet it still has plenty for being creative. Highly recommend if you have a doodler or someone who wants to be.

I purchased two of the Doodle Books for my grand daughters. One of my other grand daughters received it for her birthday in November. All three of the girls love the books. They palyed with them together. I definitely would recommend them and will purchase others in the future.

This is a gift I bought for a very creative 7 year old. I haven't given it to her yet but I'm sure she will like it. Love how it gives you ideas on each page of what to put there. Really gets your mind to thinking which is hard to do now days with the t.v. doing it for you. Can't wait to give it to her.

I bought two of these for my 11 years old grandaughters - they just loved them, if you are lost for an idea and don't know what to get a pre-teen girl these will work wonderfully well. I am so pleased with my selection of this item.

Got this for my 9 year old and she loves it. Allows her to be creative and gives her a little direction, too. This book is fun and makes a great gift.

This is a great book for kids that like to doodle. You can't go wrong with Klutz material because it is always creative and interesting.

I have always enjoyed the Klutz activity books. They are great to have for gift's as my nieces and nephews get bigger. There are so many o choose from, and I have yet to find one that I wasnt happy with.

this was a gift for a girl who loves to keep a journal. she loves any kind of cool paper and pens. she loves to draw and write. she loved this gift!
