I don't know about you, but from time to time I find myself humming the music to DOOM, even years after I've last played it. It's always hovering there at the edge of my subconscious.

DOOM was also the first game that gave me serious heebie-jeebies while playing it -- 2AM, the sub-woofer cranked, zombie guards in the next room labored breathing. Yikes!

I kept thinking to myself: "Wouldn't it be cool if I could get the music from the original game on CD." I tried a while ago and just found some busted MIDI's. Recently I checked Amazon, thinking what the hell (no pun intended), and lo and behold "DOOM Music".

If anything I've said rings true to you, buy this CD! Buy it now! Relive the nightmares!

Having a Doom Website myself, and being an avid listener of Doom music, I found this to be an excellent CD. The sound is fabulous compared to ordinary MIDIs, and the selections are great. A good job was done all around on this CD.

IT's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PERFECT to listen to while playing some games! You'll like it a LOT more if you actually played Doom 1 or 2. Brings back memories of a classic.

This is some of the coolest music I've heard. It complements the game perfectly. If you enjoy listening to the music of Doom, get this CD. I liked certain music tracks so much that at one time, I connected my cassette deck to my computer so I could record those tracks to audiocassette. I'm glad that live versions of the music have been released for people to hear. I hope Bobby Prince will release live versions of certain music tracks from Final Doom.

I've played a ton of video games and computer games over the years and bobby princes Doom, Doom2, and Final Doom soundtracks would have to be at the top. I upgraded my soundcard a while ago just so I could hear all of the great music with more energy. When the CD became available I just had to get it right away. I hope to hear more of bobby prince's musical works in other games. "Hey Bobby - you should come out with a solo album or do themes for TV shows!.

I play it any time doing something. Especially when I'm working on my computer. The original midi songs where good, but the CD versions wipe them out completely. One thing though: it doesn't have two cool songs from DOOM 1. The secret level and last level of the first episode. If you have the money to spend but don't see anything else you want, BUY THIS!!

This is great music. I already liked the simple midi-version with the game. This music would also do great as a movie soundtrack. The best pieces are slightly reminiscent of Philip Glass' minimal music. I wonder why Quake II has this boring rock-guitar-sound-a-like stuff as this is much better!

I bought this CD a few years ago from Bobby Prince's website. Yes, I could have just burned the the music via my soundcard to CD but wanted the best treatment of this music from the ORIGINAL composer. This is it.

I am a guitar player and have done a lot with MIDI using Cakewalk, SONAR, Alesis tone modules, etc. -- mostly drum and bass tracks for practicing. I just want to say, Prince's sequencing on these tracks is AMAZING, particularly "Into Sandy's City", "The Demons From Adrian's Pen" and, (OMG!) "Dark Halls" (check out the kick, snare and ride bell!). Sound quality is excellent; Bobby knows his stuff and uses the best audio equipment and mastering techniques.

I would like to add -- these tunes are a lot MORE than just standard computer game music; they are truely inspired pieces of music and stand as such in their own light, as presented on this CD.

Only thing this is missing on this CD is a LIVE guitar and chorus section. Now THAT, would be awesome. Maybe someday an artist will, in that way, give a full treatment to these EPIC gaming tunes!

There is a (mostly likely) better version of these tunes floating around on the web. Some kind folks (dude named paul) have played the midi file through a real nice soundcard and made it sound real nice. If you want it, just search for Paul and Doom. You'll find it.

Had this on my amazon wish list for 6 years. Sadly, amazon didn't come through, but I was able to finally find a mint condition one on the net.

That said, it's an awesome cd. Yes, the midis are available, but they don't always sound like the cd does.
