This little book can be read in one afternoon and/or for the rest of your life. I read it many times and will re-read it many more times. It is a treasure beyond words.
I think it is best to let the book speak for itself this way the reader of this short review can get a good idea of its message:
"I am the Light of Life within you and I have continued to shine through all the darkness of your manifold experiences, but your darkness has comprehended me not.
"The truth is that I am always with you, no matter where you are, for in me you live and move and have your being.
"I hide in your mind, your heart, your soul, I hide in the consciousness within you.
"My presence as your inner consciousness is just as infinite as my unending presence in the cosmos all around you."
"You are just as surely a Son of God as Jesus is, the soul in each of you is a living part of me.
"Cast away old patterns of thought, old habits of doubt, and keep the image of yourself as the Living Christ.
"If you develop the habit of hungering and thirsting after the Light of Christ within you, filling your temple with quitness harmonious to its flow, you will experience the momentous Second Birth, the birth of the Spirit.

Simple, to the point and powerful. The focus of the book is on spiritualizing the body through the practice of ascension attitudes of love, praise and gratitude. It also describes beautifully how and why these principles work. These three attitudes can begin to transform your life as soon as you begin applying them. They can change every area of your life - they have changed mine far beyond my expectations.

If you had read this book in the 60s (when it was written) it might not have made much sense. But today, after Autobiography of a Yogi and Conversations With God, this wonderful little book not only makes perfect sense, it gives you the urgency to find God, an urgency based on the confirmations of the previously mentioned books. Not only do you understand Jesus' message better, you also see through the misinterpretations. This is a book you want to keep on you to study at all times, until you can actually walk through the door of everything.

From the moment I picked up this little book magical things began happening in my life. Call it synchronicity or manifestation, The Door of Everything gave me access to a new way of being about my life. The book made perfect sense to me and answered my "unanswerable" questions about life. When I finished the book, I immediately re-read it and will probably read it many more times.

Ruby Nelson's book discusses man's ultimate purpose: which is the transmutation and ascension of the physical body as Jesus did. She describes this process from the Christain perspective. Unfolding for us what it means to undergo the second birth and the true purpose of the Holy Spirit. She discribes this beautiful body of LIght that we will live in and gives us guidelines in how to attain this perfection. This was the true message of Jesus, he came to show us the way of perfection that someday each one of us must follow...

Believe it or not, the author claims to not have channeled this work. Furthermore, she gives the end product little credence, having done it as a leisure time "writing project" in the early/mid-60's. (She then referred to herself as "just a housewife".) When I recently pointed out the work's significance to her, she was not impressed.

Interesting side note: The "author's" feelings about this book closely parallel the feelings expressed by the "author" of "A Course in Miracles" (don't dare mention to Ms. Nelson that the color schemes of both book covers are identical). Those of us who KNOW that this work was touched by the Hand of God know it to be true, with or without the author's agreement. Go figure.

I had read this outstanding book a few years ago and it's message resonated with me at that time. Recently, I had a thought that said to go back and re-read it. It was just the message that I needed at this point. The main idea here is to affirm the fact of non-separation between each of us, our creator, and all that is around us. This is a concept that is central to many spiritual works and beliefs.

It is the idea that we are all intimately connected, we are not contained in our body but our body is just a manifestation of the one "life energy" in all. When we identify with the grandeur of who we are, all things are possible. They are made possible by the realization of the power we inherently have by the very nature of who we are.

This divine connection to everything, and the limitless possibilities that go with it, can only be experienced if we grasp the fact that we are connected. If we identify with the idea that we are separate and who we are is completely contained in a body, then our experience will be one of separation. Separation is a painful road of disappointment and lack. Love can be equated to oneness, and the ego can be equated to separation.

So, all things are possible when we realize who we are. We are but love, and love is but what is. The Door of Everything opens with this understanding. This book will help you open that door. Here's wishing you much happiness in your journey to and through that door.

Got this after reading reviews on amazon. Panned out great. Nice approach to awakening, well expressed. One could reach the experience of the One if one applied the way of life explained clearly here. Very early channeling, which is fascinating to me. About the same time as the Impersonal Life, my favorite book. I also recommend " God I am", " Christ in you", and the course in Miracles ( if you've got the time). Not to forget the Tao te Ching.
