4.0 out of 5 stars Fits perfectly on our wide door.
I've bought other draft stoppers for more money that were filled with sand or stuffed. They were either not wide enough or the sand would pour out when you moved it. I love the fact that this is a lightweight, yet form hugging draft stopper, that you can move if necessary. It seems to block the cool air from our basement really well. I recommend this to anyone.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too light
When I originally ordered this I expected basically a heavy small sand like bead filled sock. This wasn't that. All it contains are a couple bean bag sacks with large beads, and the rest of it is filled with that cheap artificial cotton filling used for carnival stuffed animals. It isn't heavy nor malleable enough to conform to the door and the wind blows right around it.

My husband sawed the bottom of a door off too short (measure twice, cut once, right?). We bought this to keep the air out. Its on its second winter now and going strong.

5.0 out of 5 stars good for door drafts, March 22, 2010
This review is from: Door and Window Draft Stopper - Taupe
This product worked exactly as I had expected. It was more reasonably priced than many other draft stoppers. I bought 2 per door frame because I have French doors and a door with windows on each side of the door. It worked great. One would not be enough to do the job though. Measure and consider buying 2.

This draft stopper is very lightweight and therefore doesn't stay in place very well. It was a disappointment. Save your money for better things.

This draft stopper is not something I would recommend to anyone. I notice NO difference and these bean bags they fill are only in certain spots of the draft stopper. Not worth it. I would have sent it back but decided to keep it. Threw it in the garage.

draft stoppers have a tendency to curl at the ends. Not so here. These weighted stoppers do their job well especially on windowsills. We bought 3 and intend to buy more. "Delighted" in Telford, PA

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Door Draft Stopper, January 2, 2011

This is a great little draft stopper! I am using it as a door draft stopper for my 8 month old son's nursery room. It definitely keeps the draft out and keeps the warm air in his room while he is asleep. Also it is a good sound barrier when he's sleeping and it has kept a large spider from crawling under the door into his room as well. Plus, is looks great against my light colored travertine hallway floors too! It's about two pounds and it feels like a very long bean bag. It definitely stays where you put it.

it doesn't do the job for my door because it's a little longer than the door which stops it from lying flush with the opening. it could be heavier - that would definitely help. a few people that have seen it said to me "what, you bought one of those? don't you know you can make them really easily? you just sew a sleeve and fill it with beans! (or sand i guess?)" anyway. there's your tip. don't buy one online. either feel it in person or make one!
