5.0 out of 5 stars Rock and Roll will never die
This is the 3rd Doors vinyl reissue I've bought, and wow, these never fail to impress. So far, I have the self titled, Waiting for the Sun, and Morrison Hotel. The 180 gram vinyl plays so clean, hardly a crackle or pop, and holding such a thick record is really great compared to those old flimsy ones. 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
I love the idea of re-collecting my favorite albums on vinyl, but this particular album has a muffled sound quality to my ear. I'm not sure what "180 gram vinyl" is just exactly, but I'm not overly impressed.

Also, the record comes in a plastic sleeve, opposed to the old paper. These are better for preventing static and keeping little flecks of paper off the vinyl.

If you're unsure about what 180 gram vinyl is , it can be summed up like this: "A heavier weight record is thicker and therefore allows for deeper grooves and more dynamic mastering. Since the vinyl is heavier- it is typically better for tracking. The 180 gram record is usually flatter and quieter than a regular weighted record."

Here is my only complaint, and it's petty, but these vinyl reissues are not the same as the new CD reissues. For example, in the new CD reissue of "Break on Through" Jim sings "She gets high", but the vinyl version is still the censored version. However, that aside, if you unsure about upgrading your old Doors albums, or you're new into vinyl, these versions are the best out there.

I've tried the old 60's and 70's printings, and those just don't compare to virgin, 180 gram vinyl!

This the first Doors album, re-issued. It is heavier that standard records, but that is not a problem. It plays like it is supposed to, as well.

Great record.
