Provides answers young people are seeking about life and about becoming "mature men and women of God." The author does this by organizing life as a house, with each room representing a particular area of one's life. Very upbeat and cleverly written, calling the reader to personal examination of his own life, and to commitment to true discipleship. Highly recommended reading for young Christians.

I am a psychotherapist in Private Practice offering an holistic approach to various emotional, psychological and psychosocial problems. Part of my work with those who come to see me is spiritual in nature. I am a committed Christian and a lot of my clients seek me out for that reason.

Recently, I was loaned a copy of this book and found that it contained an article on meditation which is second to none. The article not only explains what meditation is but gives practical "how to" comments to go with it. I often use relaxation exercises for those who present with a variety of anxiety problems which includes meditation and visualisation. The aforementioned article will be of immeasurable value in giving my clients an effective, succinct and spiritual approach to these two areas. There are, of course, other chapters in the book which are truly worthwhile but my primary reason for buying the book was to assist my clients in the art of Christian meditation.

As always, Amazon's efficiency and accuracy as to description of the book's condition are of the highest standards.

This is the book that (literally) taught me how to study, how to properly take notes and just generally gave me some excellent study habit tips. If you have a teenager who is struggling in school, the section on "Note Taking" is worth the price alone. Not only does Pratney give examples of HOW to take notes for Bible Study, his examples are PERFECT for taking classroom notes at the High School or college level. I cannot recommend this book more highly.
