5.0 out of 5 stars Completed this in one reading...., November 2, 2009

This review is from: The Dopeless Hope Fiend: Veteran Police Officer Becomes Homeless Drug Addict Before Finding Redemption After Near Death Exper (Paperback)
In this candid book, I found that the author has well documented his life from hope to dope and back to hope again. It vividly protrays a life of one who struggled with a far too common addition and how after learning the lessons "of the street" turned his life around after a near death experience. It was a joy to see how Mr. Givens pulled it all together. I recommend this book to those who suffer addictions and for those family members who are awaiting their loved ones to find the same type of hope as this author found. It will encourage you... you will find hope as well!

I loved this book. Haven't been much of a reader lately, but I devoured this. It is easy to read and has a flow that keeps you coming back for more. An especially great book for those who think they just can't get it. It is a book of how an addicts mind works, yet the human spirit just would not give up.

Glass up (apple cider); to Mr. Givens for sharing such an: emotional/honest/inspiring story. I knew the book would be one that I'd recommend and even share w/a few people, before I purchased it. Reading Mr. Givens story reminds me that God has put us all here for a purpose. If he done it for one, he will, he can do it for you. Wow, amazing story! I do believe that this will become a number one best seller. Oprah/Dr. Phil this book is one you need to share.
