The last couple of U-God albums were not all that hot. This album is VERY complete. U-God has simplified his lyrics and the production is great. The only thing I do not like about the album are the remixes. I really don't count that. Of the 11 orginal songs, nine are great. Having nine good songs on an album makes it slammin.' If you were doubting if U-God would come back strong, he has proved all of his critics wrong with this album. If you saw his documentary, he did promise a better upcoming album. I thank him for bringing out another hitting Wu-album.

U-God's had some ups and downs over the years, some real sucesses along the way, with some questionable moves. I noticed on the 8 Diagrams album that his style had improved dramatically.

Dopium is easily the best material he's created. The title track, Dopium, is unbelievable. Lots of good guest appearances. There haven't been many Wu-Tang albums lately that are on par with this one.

Almost 4 years since his last solo album (also a very solid one in "Mr. X-Citement" and 10 years since his mediocre debut "Golden Arms Redemption", I don't own his "Hillside Scramblers" group album), the perhaps, most quiet member of the Wu returns with a very good 4.5 star album. I've always been a fan of his unique voice, which I think goes very well with mor eupbeat thracks, hence why I am more of a fan of this and his "Mr. X-Citement" albums. This one is shorter than his others, with only 11 songs (the last 3 are just remixes of other songs on the album). Of the 11, 2 are almost classic material and the other 9 are good, or real good songs. Guests are on 8 of the 11 so you don't get as much of U-God as you might want. Production is very good as well. Teddy Ted & J Serbe do 4 songs, Twilite Tone does 2, 4th Pyramid, Hakim, Large Professor, Da Beathoven & Andre Clarke each do 1. For fans of U-God or the Wu, pick this up.

One of the better rekkids to come out in a while. U-God is under rated. Unfortunately he won't sell too many albums. Recommended for fans of the Wu-Tang Clan.

I slept on U-Gods first 2 solo albums as the reviews weren't exactly glowing, I've always been a fan of his style, although perhaps not as deep or versatile as his peers, his flow is still very good.

This album has some of the best beats I've heard in a while and U flows with style whilst upping his game, it's a shame it's a little short but it is very, very sweet. Skip the remixes though, they don't add much.

This is by far THE best solo album from a Wu member to come out in a long time. Sorry Raekwon, but Cuban 2 is going to have to come in at a VERY close second.

Ugod is hot, hot, hot on this album, especially on tracks like "Lipton", "Dopium", and "Wu-Tang" just to name a few.

Dopium has changed my life.
I know that's a pretty bold statement, but seriously, I actually feel lifted when I hear this album. I feel like a happier person just having this music at my fingertips.
I always have it at the ready.

And let me tell you, there is nothing like listening to a little "Stomp The Roach" to get a weekend off to an awesome start.


This album is beyond "must have".....it's "CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT!"

i can't belive what a good album this is... been listening to wu like everyone else since 36 chambers... i always thought he was good, but never got his chance to shine. Him and masta killa seem like the forgotten members... but jeez, this is a classic album. i honestly listen to this more then raekwons cuban linx II (which is also a good album) ghost is my fav and i even listen to this more then his new r+b album.... great job U.G !!

This cd is a wu tang solo classic. U- God inlisted alot of help for this cd but every last track is dope. Modern day classic True Mc's

THIS ALBUM DOES NOT DISAPPOINT....HE HAS EVERYTHING FROM GREAT COLLABOS W/ OTHER WU FAM AND ORIGINAL BEATS , COUPLED WITH AWESOME PRODUCTION AND U GOD'S POWERFUL FLO AND YOU HAVE A DISTINCT GEM, HIS PREVIOUS ALBUMS WEREN'T THAT GREAT....GOLDEN ARMS WAS OK BUT VERY SUBPAR COMPARED TO THIS ONE....THE STAND OUT TRACK ON GOLDEN ARMS WAS "BIZARRE"...SICK SAMPLE OF VOCAL MIXED WITH HEAVY BASS DRUMS AND UEE'S UNMISTAKABLE FLOW...THAT WAS A BANGER..BACK TO THIS ALBUM, IT BLOWS GOLDEN ARMS OUT OF THE WATER, AND THE THREE REMIXES THT EVERYBODY IS HATIN ON...WHY MAN?...I THOUGHT THEY WERE PRETTY GOOD, UGODS VOICE CHOPPED AND SCREWED AND TOSSED OVER SOME ECCLETIC FAST PACED BEATS THAT SOUND ALMOST TRANCE LIKE, QUIT HATIN MAN, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE REMIX THAN LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL BUT DON'T HATE ON HIM FOR TRYING TO SWITCH THINGS UP. I PLAYED ONE OF THE REMIXES WHEN I GAVE MY FRIENDS ARIDE AND THEY LIKED IT MORE THAN THE REST OF HIS ALBUM...I DON'T KNOW IF I AGREE WITH THAT BUT ITS WORTH AN HONORABLE MENTION. IN CLOSING : HOT BEATS PLUS GREAT PRODUCTION PLUS GREAT GUEST SPOTS PLUS U G0DS UNMISTAKEBLE FLOW AND U HAVE PROBABLY THE BEST ALBUM FROM WU BLOOD KIN IN 2009, ITS HOT.
